Meet Head Trainer & Owner Brooklin

It's so great to meet you, my name is Brooklin!

I always had a dog by my side that was probably x5 bigger than me. I grew up with labs, pit bulls, boxers, doodles & mastiffs as a little girl. They are still my favorite breeds to this day and hold a special place in my heart.

I first became passionate about dog training after I watched this police K9 G rated movie, Ace of Hearts on DVD when I was 7. I thought it was the coolest thing. Police K9's. German Shepards. The whole deal. Afterwards, I was extremely fascinated by our U.S army unit & very early on wanted to enlist and work with MWD's & bomb squads... as a 12 year old... in 7th grade!

I never enlisted because of active duty and being far away from family. As an alternative, I tried training any family dog I could & watched Ceasar Milian on the old IMAC. 

Then at the age of 16, I started out as a full time professional private dog sitter & dog walker caring for many dogs. So many I lost count... The longer I stayed in the profession, I was able to witness different, destructive behaviors in dogs that didn't have a job to do. I got the opportunity to created imprinted bonds between special dogs, that eventually became my best friends. A lot of them became soul dogs to me that God was able to use in my life, personally. As I got to know more about certain dogs, I empathized with them knowing first hand that needs were not being met. No walks. Proceesed food everyday. Working dogs not getting any exercise.

One sit almost lead to a potential ASCPA call because the extremities of poor living conditions.

I had seen it all & I hit my limit. 

I wanted to make a bigger impact in my career and in my life, fixing the root problem & educating people how to properly take care of their animals; God Himself entrusted us to take care of. 

Shortly afterwards, dog training came back around. I remembered that seven year old little girl, who watched Ace of Hearts on DVD and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

So, I started first with my Aussie mix. 

To this day, one of our favorite things is our sunset walks in the neighborhood. He always is full of joy when given a job to do. He is great off leash, loves hikes and is the best boy a girl could ask for. I love him very much. 

The dogs that I have trained have changed behaviors & my clients have changed lives.

I have seen the bond between dog and owner go from weak, tense & brittle, to long lasting & strong. 

I am two & a half years deep in my training career- specializing in reactivity, separation + anxiety, fear & timidity, high energy working breeds, puppies, crate training, boundaries & low to high based obedience training, leash handling & house manners. 

Future goals that I am working toward: participating in K9 protection + suit decoy, police + sport comps, scent detection, along side bird dog hunting with labs!!!

 This is a constant stirring in my heart.
